COMMUNITY ORGANISATION GRANTS

 

MINOR INFRASTRUCTURE & INCLUSION FUND (Sport & Rec)

Opening 27 September 2023; Closing 16 November 2023

Major infrastructure funding for sport and recreation organisations to ensure their facilities are safe, accessible, inclusive and more efficient.

Category 1 – Inclusive and accessible: $10 million to support new and upgraded changerooms and amenities that meet universal design principles. Grants from $50k-$350k (Urban) or up to $580k in discrete areas.

Category 2 – Safe, quality and efficient: $15 million to support new, upgraded and end-of-life field of play and ancillary facilities to meet activity requirements at a community level. Grants from $50k-$250k (Urban) or up to $415k in discrete areas.

Community Road Safety Grants

Closing 29 September 2023

Funding of up to $40,000. To deliver road safety education initiatives. Read here.

Queensland Remembers Grant Program

Closing 3 October 2023

Major Capital Works – Funding up to $250,000. For internal building refurbishments or upgrades, improving access for people with a disability or upgrading communal meeting areas.

Minor Capital Works – Funding up to $50,000. For repairs to, or maintenance of, buildings or facilities and the purchase of equipment.

Community Grants – Funding up to $50,000. deliver commemorative activities or events and projects such as the creation or refurbishment of memorials, avenues of honour and memorial gardens.

Gondwana Cultural Tourism Funding

Closing 9 October 2023

Funding up to $275,000. To support First Nations cultural tourism within the Gondwana Rainforests World Heritage Area. Read more here.

Lord Mayor’s Better Suburbs Grants

Community Facility Category – closing 9 October 2023.

Funding up to $200,000. To improve, develop and maintain community facilities, with preference provided to Council community-leased facilities.

Community Support Category – Round two will open late January 2024.

Funding up to $10,000. to support projects that respond to local community needs, improve community facilities and build organisational capacity.

Grassroots Cricket Fund – Community Grants Program

Closing 15 October 2023

Funding up to $5,000. To focus on enabling sustainable impact and fostering participation growth in the junior space. More here.

Queensland Energy and Jobs Plan – Enable Grants Program

Closing 20 October 2023

Small Funding ($50k-$500k) & Large grants up to $1M. For NGO’s to deliver energy efficiency information, advice & support programs that help reduce energy bills for vulnerable Queenslanders. Read here.

Gambling Community Benefit Fund Round 119

Closing 7 November 2023

Grants up to $35,000. To provide services, leisure activities and opportunities for Queensland communities. Info here.

Queensland Mental Health Commission Sponsorship

Closing 30 November 2023

Funding up to $10,000 ex GST. For events, conferences, and activities that align to support better mental health outcomes for Queenslanders. Read here.

RACQ Foundation Community Grants

Closing 23 February 2024

For Queensland sporting club/organisation, community group, charity or an organisation with a charitable purpose and have been impacted by severe weather events, natural disaster or drought. Read info here.

Saving Koalas Fund – Health Grants

Closing 12 April 2024

$19.9M in grants to protect and restore Koala habitats. Read here.

Australian Communities Foundation Grants Program

Funding up to $15,000. To support the organisation’s charitable purposes. More here.

Plan Ahead – Investing in Queensland Women Grants

Grants up to $15,000. For projects and events that align with the Queensland Government’s strategic priorities and address the unique issues faced by women and girls. Info here.

Plan Ahead – Thriving Suburbs Fund

Coming in 2024-25 financial year

$200 million will be committed over two years, to deliver investment in locally-driven urban and suburban infrastructure and community projects that address liveability and shortfalls in priority community infrastructure in urban and suburban communities. More info here.

Submit an Idea – School Transport Infrastructure Program

Funding of up to $500,000. For projects that improve the school safety through new/improved infrastructure including Drop & Go zones, fencing, bike paths, parking etc. Typically 50-50% funding or up to 100%. More info here.

Ignite Ideas Fund Round 11

Closing 29 September 2023

Funding up to $200,000 ex GST. For new products or service that is at the minimum viable product stage or beyond and ready for commercialisation. More info here.

Grant opportunity closing 6 October 2023

Funding up to $50 million to deliver one-off, time-limited activities. To support people with disability, their families and carers to participate, contribute and benefit from mainstream community activities including arts, culture, sport and recreation. Info here.

Individual Capacity Building Grant Opportunity

Funding of up to $90M. To deliver one-off, time-limited activities to support systemic, nationwide access to peer support, mentoring, self-advocacy and other skills building for people with disability, their family and carers. More info here.
