Feature Grant
Play Our Way Program is NOW OPEN.

$50,000 – $1.5M
Government funding of $200M to support local solutions and improvements for women and girls to participate in sport and physical activity.
Women in Australia are under-represented in sport and physical activity. The $200M Play Our Way program aims to promote equitable access, build more suitable facilities, and support grassroots initiatives to engage women and girls in sport and physical activity throughout their lives.
This is one of the Australian Government’s largest and most comprehensive investments in women’s sports ever!
The program has two funding streams:
- Facilities (EOI & Invitation to Apply) – Funding to support modifying, upgrading or building facilities and playing areas or spaces for sport and physical activity, specifically for women and girls
- Participation & Equipment (Single Application) – Funding to support modifying and/or developing new, sustainable and enduring programs to reduce discrimination and inequality, and increase women and girls’ participation in sport and physical activity.
Co-funding/co-contributions are encouraged but not mandatory. Find out more here.

Nominations for the 2024 Commonwealth Bank Teaching Awards

Investing in Queensland Women Grants
Closing 12 April 2024
Grants up to $15,000. For projects and events that align with the Queensland Government’s strategic priorities and address the unique issues faced by women and girls. Info here.

Building Resilient Tourism Infrastructure Fund: Tropical Cyclone Jasper
Closing 19 April 2024
Funding of up to $250,000 for impacted tourism businesses. To build resilience and aid their response to future flooding and natural disasters through innovative solutions and bespoke engineering projects, such as flood prevention infrastructure, equipment like alternative power, safety upgrades, or flood levees. QLD Disaster Assistance Loans
Closing 31 December 2024
Funding of max $250,000 for primary producers & businesses and max $100,000 for NFP. Located in the Logan, Scenic Rim & Gold Coast local government areas can apply. To repair or replace damaged assets like plant & equipment, to repair premises, or to replace stock & maintain liquidity. Loan term up to 10 years. Read here.
Australian Communities Foundation Grants Program
Funding up to $15,000. To support the organisation’s charitable purposes. More here.
Plan Ahead – Thriving Suburbs Fund
Coming in 2024-25 financial year
$200 million will be committed over two years, to deliver investment in locally-driven urban and suburban infrastructure and community projects that address liveability and shortfalls in priority community infrastructure in urban and suburban communities. More info here.
Submit an Idea – School Transport Infrastructure Program
Funding of up to $500,000. For projects that improve the school safety through new/improved infrastructure including Drop & Go zones, fencing, bike paths, parking etc. Typically 50-50% funding or up to 100%. More info here.

Tourism Business Capability Subsidy
Closing 27 March 2024
A $2 Million initiative to elevate your business and create unforgettable experiences for your visitors. Eligible for sole traders, micro, small, and medium-sized tourism and events businesses. Up to $2,000 will be available for eligible tourism accreditation and training activities. Info here.
Business Research and Innovation Initiative (BRII) – Renewables and Low Emissions Round

Grants up to $100,000 for small to medium enterprise. For a renewables and low emissions Feasibility project. Up to $1M for proof-of-concept. Read info here.
Ignite Ideas ($100K & $200K)
Closing 8 April 2024
Funding to commercialise highly innovative and new products or services that are at minimum viable product stage or beyond. Read here.
Ignite Spark ($50K – $75K)
