Congratulations to SEQ Water for winning the state level award of the Australian Government Partnership for Landcare Award for their SEQ Water Source Protection Partnership Program.
SEQ Water received their award for outstanding partnerships established with local community groups. The award is testament to the fantastic work in the field of source protection delivered by the business, including the rangers, property team and project managers.
SEQ Water collaborates with six local landcare and catchment groups to improve and maintain catchment water quality on private agricultural properties. The partnership program enables improved employment security for local group staff through multi-year funding arrangements, with financial support for employment, administration costs and on-ground action.
Seqwater will now progress to the National Landcare Award program, with winners announced in Melbourne in 2018.
