It pays not to give up! The committed crew at Isle of Coochie Golf Club officially opened their renovated clubhouse recently, after successfully receiving funding from the Gambling Community Benefit Club.
Although unsuccessful in their first grant attempt, the Club’s resubmission in a subsequent round netted them over $33,000. This allowed for a major refurb’ project that included – lining the clubhouse, installing a new kitchen and adding air-conditioning to the building.
With an all-hands-on-deck approach by volunteers, the renovations were done in no time and everyone is now finally able to sit back and enjoy their Pleasant Saturday Afternoons, along with mid-week and weekend golfing fun.
