Redlands Volunteer Emergency Service Association (RESVA) received over $31,000 for custom built Community Education Trailer in Round 85 of the Gambling Community Benefit Fund. The trailer will benefit a range of Emergency Services organisations in Redlands including four State Emergency Services Groups and five Rural Fire Units.
The trailer will also double as a mobile support station for Emergency Services volunteers and Council Disaster Management teams during natural disasters in Redlands.
The Community Education Trailer will support volunteers engaging with community groups, residents, businesses and schools to deliver public education and awareness raising activities. The Volunteer Community Education Service ran over 50 public education activities in 2014-15.
